L'azione è situata temporalmente tra il primo e il secondo episodio della serie. Sono cambiati regista e sceneggiatori e S. Connery ha gettato la spugna, ma il risultato non cambia, anzi peggiora per la stanchezza ripetitiva dei duelli e delle scene d'azione, l'estetismo parapubblicitario della scrittura, l'imbecillità della storia.
